This position can be based at our site in Minneapolis, MN or Sterling Heights, MI.

As a Dynamics and Controls Engineer, you will:

  • Provide analysis in the areas of dynamics using physics based modeling and simulation.
  • Create mathematical models including Matlab and Simulink.
  • Resolve any design or production related manufacturing issues that arise unexpectedly in a timely manner.
  • Interact with internal customers to meet Technical, Schedule, and Budget needs.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Master's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with emphasis in Dynamics and Controls and 2+ years relevant experience
  • We may consider candidates with less experience for a more junior role or more experience for a more senior role
  • Experience in design, analysis, simulation and development of physical system models
  • Solid understanding of underlying principles of applied mathematics and vehicle dynamics
  • Experience in analysis and simulation with Matlab / Simulink
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Ph.D. degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with emphasis in Dynamics and Controls
  • Active secret security clearance
  • Experience modeling and simulating vehicles, engines, electric motors, batteries and component controls
  • Autonomous vehicle system experience is preferred
  • Proven record of problem solving and helping the company to meet its customer demands


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
