UPHOLSTERER SUPERVISOR - MOTION

The Upholsterer Supervisor will be a hands on production supervisor of motion furniture.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, direct and coordinate activities of the work cell to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame.
• Review daily schedule to determine time for completing projects.
• Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of schedule and arranges for assignment of personnel.
• Review and modify schedules or plans as required. Prepare cell reports for management.
• Confers with plant management to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
• Makes sure all team members specialize on one job but cross trained on others to keep the work flow.
• Make sure all supplies are in the work area for employees to complete the job.
• Enforce company rules and regulations to employees.
• Manage time, attendance and vacation policies of all associates.

Qualifications/Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 to 3 years' experience in furniture production, preferable motion
• 2 to 3 years' experience in a supervisory team lead role in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of furniture assembly, processes, quality control and materials
• Understanding of safety regulations and quality standards in furniture manufacturing.
• Ability to resolve conflict and be an effective communicator
• Ability to work well in a team oriented environment
• Must be 18 years of age or older
