Band Saw Operator

Position Overview

  Operates a bandsaw to saw curved and irregular designs on wood stock and cardboard to size.

Key Responsibilities

• Adjusts and sets the bandsaw to job specifications
• Runs machine and pushes/turns saw against the blade to cut stock along marked outline or configuration
• Removes cut stock and verifies dimensions of stock
• Removes dull or defective blades
• Positions template on woodstock/cardboard and marks cutting outline on stock
• Follows all safety protocol
• Other duties may be assigned.

Experience & Abilities

•  6 months of band saw experience 
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more
• This job requires standing and walking
