UPHOLSTERER FOR FURNITURE MANUFACTURING An upholsterer will construct or repair upholstered furniture by covering the furniture frame with materials such as leather, cotton or suede. Responsibilities: · Attaches fabric/leather to the arms, backs, seats and outside backs to wooden frames using a compressed air staple gun. · This job requires continuous stapling with one hand while pulling the material with the other hand to complete the sofa, loveseat, chair or ottoman according to specifications. · Physical requirements are standing all day, bending, occasionally may have to lift 80 to 100 pounds. · Follow all safety procedures while performing the position Qualifications/Skills: · 6 months or more of experience working as an upholsterer in a production setting · Ability to work well in a team oriented environment · Must be 18 years of age or older Benefits Include: · Medical insurance available the first month following 30 days of employment · FSA and HSA available · Dental and Vision · 401(k) Plan · Stock Purchase Plan · Paid vacation upon hire · Holidays · AFLAC · Critical Care Insurance · Hospital Insurance · On-site clinic · Free mental health counseling
