The Bulldog ID Office provides various services to the campus community including, but not limited to the Bulldog ID Card, sales, and wayfinding for individuals in the Student Success Center (U-building).

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule  

Position Salary Range: $59,724/year - $80,436/year

The salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The salary will be determined based on candidate's qualifications and related experience, as well as market and business considerations. Individuals newly hired to Classified position are placed in a salary range based on the WPEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.

We offer comprehensive compensation package with salary and benefits as the main components. Competitive salary is within the Range stated above, and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Generous benefits package is offered through Washington State plans that includes multiple medical, dental, life and disability coverage choices for employees and dependents; choices of retirement and deferred compensation plans; paid holidays, sick, and vacation plans; transit program, reduced tuition, employee discounts and memberships, etc.

The employee is scheduled to work 40 hours per workweek. This is a Classified, overtime eligible position and represented by the Washington Public Employee Association of Higher Education (WPEA-HE).

About the Department  

The Student Business Center is a one-stop resource hub offering services such as postage stamps, discounted movie tickets, and printing account funding. It also provides fitness center access stickers and hosts an online classifieds platform for buying/selling items, finding housing, and exploring local job opportunities.

Essential Functions  

Administrative Support

  • Serve as primary lead for the Bulldog ID Office operations, functions, and services 
  • Manage campus identification card system including inventory and equipment; oversee issuance of the Bulldog ID Cards; assist students, staff and faculty with Bulldog ID Card issues
  • Create and manage yearly Bulldog ID Office budget
  • Communicate Bulldog ID Office functions and services to campus constituents
  • Collaborate with campus offices which use hardware and/or software related to the Bulldog ID system to provide campus service and proactively adapt services and supports as campus needs change
  • Work in partnership with other offices such as Access Control, Information Technology Services (ITS), Office of Sustainability, Wellness Center etc.; on Bulldog ID Office services provided
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and work with ITS and ID card system staff to resolve issues
  • Manage and process sales transactions (ticket and stamp sales, etc.) and reconcile sales daily.
  • Ensure visitors to ID Office receive appropriate level of customer service support (sales support, campus resource sharing, way-finding information, ID card information, etc.)
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and information regarding support services of other offices and office locations to improve wayfinding services
  • Submit work orders and be responsible for tickets to resolve workflow issues (i.e. computers, drive access, custodial maintenance) in the Bulldog ID office
  • Develop office protocols and adjust protocols as campus needs dictate
  • Order office supplies for Bulldog ID Office

Supervision

  • Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and direct the work of student employees employed in the Bulldog ID Office
  • Establish student work schedule, approve student work schedule consistent with department budget, monitor work time, and authorize bi-weekly timesheets for the Bulldog ID Office staff
  • Complete student employee paperwork; maintain supervisory records and files
  • Schedule team meetings and other meetings as necessary for student employees

Other duties

  • Serve as advisor to student organization(s) with consultation and approval of Dean of Student Life
  • Attend professional association meetings as requested
  • Serve on committees as approved by Dean
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications  
  • High School graduation. A combination of relevant education and professional experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
  • Two (2) years of work experience in Student Affairs functions.
  • Experience providing front-line service customer service to the public in a diverse and inclusive setting.
  • Experience using software systems to deliver services, track data, or maintain customer records.
  • Demonstrated experience using technology hardware to provide client or customer service (e.g. card printers, photo capture systems point-of-sale systems).
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with high level and initiative, planning, organization and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain internal and external customer relations
  • Effective written communication and editing skills
  • Ability to give presentations to groups
  • Demonstrated ability in planning, organizing and executing large- scale projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise or provide leadership to students, volunteers or other groups
  • Ability to responsibly interpret and explain campus protocols, procedures and policies
  • Prior experience working as a member of a team, building effective relationships, and collaborating with others at various levels of an institution
     
Preferred Qualifications  
  • Bachelor's degree and one year experience in a college or university setting in Student Affairs or equivalent setting.
  • Knowledge of Bellevue College departments and resources and their procedures, protocols and policies.
  • Prior knowledge and experience using college card systems and system functions
  • Prior experience supervising students or team members
