Job Title: 

Manager, Program Management (Hybrid: Problem Management & Business Analysis) 

Role Overview: 

The Manager, Program Management is a hybrid leader responsible for independently driving problem management initiatives within SaaS Operations, while also collaborating with the problem management team in the Support organization. In addition, this role oversees the business analysis function, directly managing a Business Analyst to deliver operational improvements, enhanced service stability, and cross-functional process optimization across SaaS Operations. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Independently drive the problem management lifecycle within SaaSOps, including issue identification, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions to achieve corporate goals. 
• Collaborate with the central problem management team to align processes, share insights, and support organization-wide problem resolution. 
• Develop tools and processes for trend analysis, monitoring, and knowledge sharing to spot and solve problems before they escalate. 
• Analyze operational workflows and data to support governance and compliance activities, ensuring processes meet internal policies and external standards (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA, PCI). 
• Oversee business analysis for operational improvements, translating business needs into actionable solutions and process enhancements. 
• Lead and track continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data from problem management and business analysis. 
• Own the design, preparation, and delivery of regular and ad hoc reports on problem trends, root causes, process improvements, and key SaaSOps metrics for leadership and stakeholders. 
• Serve as a liaison across SaaSOps, technical teams, business stakeholders, and central problem management. 
• Promote a culture of best practices, knowledge sharing, and ongoing process optimization. 

 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree and  10-15 years of experience with 5-7 years specifically in problem management; relevant certifications (ITIL, CBAP, PMP, etc.) are a plus. 
• Proven experience in program management, problem management, and/or business analysis roles within SaaS, IT, or technical operations. 
• Strong analytical, facilitation, and communication skills; adept at cross-functional collaboration. 
• Experience with root cause analysis, business process optimization, and data-driven improvement initiatives.

The annual base salary range represents the low and high end of the BMC salary range for this position. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

The range listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.

At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $129,375 - $215,625
