Come see "Where Good Grows"..... at Bob Evans Restaurants!   This opportunity works on a hybrid work schedule, reporting to the Bob Evans Restaurants Support Center in New Albany, Ohio. 


Statement of Purpose:


The Facilities and Purchasing Specialist is responsible for supporting the successful operations of Bob Evans Restaurants facility needs. Other areas of focus include preparing purchasing orders, reviewing work-order quotes, tracking planned and unplanned capital expenditures, and maintaining the equipment portfolio including sourcing, storage, and delivery.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for tracking and reporting on planned and unplanned capital expenditures and maintaining the fiscal year capital project list.
  • Tracks capital purchase orders as necessary and validates invoices associated with purchase orders. Frequently audits capital expenses that do not require purchase orders for tracking and spend validation.
  • Reviews quotes and initiates revisions or secondary quotes as needed.
  • Is responsible for maintaining the restaurant equipment portfolio which includes but is not limited to sourcing, storage, delivery and providing alternatives as needed.
  • Manages the schedule and tracks spend associated with the preventive maintenance and filter service programs.
  • Maintains communication with internal departments, and external vendors/contacts.
  • Receives and screens incoming calls and electronic requests and responds as appropriate. Directs requests and inquiries that require an answer by another party in a timely manner.
  • Works directly with the Director of Facilities and supports ad hoc requests as needed.

 

Knowledge:


  • Familiar with restaurant facilities and equipment
  • Proven oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining daily workflow
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office, Word, Power Point, Project Manager, and Excel)
  • Excellent organizational skills


Education/Experience:

 

  • High School diploma or G.E.D required: Post-secondary school education preferred.
  • 3-5 years administrative or related experience
