The Director DC Operations II is a senior leader at Bob's Discount Furniture responsible for fostering a culture that aligns with our values, supports exceptional customer experiences, and drives strategic direction across Operations (Distribution Centers, Delivery, and Transportation). This leader ensures efficient, scalable operations while developing future leaders and holding teams accountable for achieving company goals such as EBIT targets, profit margins, and operational excellence.  Success in this role requires building strong relationships across the Home Office, intradepartmental teams, and external vendors while maintaining a Customer First culture that drives operational excellence, profitability, and continuous improvement.

  • Strategic Leadership: Ability to develop and execute large-scale supply chain strategies, including restructuring, technology adoption, and system implementations.
  • Process Improvement: Demonstrated success implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to optimize operations and drive efficiencies.
  • Customer Experience: Commitment to improving supply chain processes to enhance Net Promoter Score (NPS) and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Financial Acumen: Skilled in budget development, cost efficiency, and delivering EBIT targets.
  • Analytical Problem-Solving: Expertise in root cause analysis, data-driven decision making, and performance measurement.
  • Risk Management: Ability to assess labor needs, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships to mitigate risks.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years in supply chain, logistics, or operations leadership with demonstrated success in achieving financial and operational goals.
  • Experience leading multi-site operations and large-scale projects.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Combination of office, DC, delivery/transportation site, and virtual work.
  • Regular travel for site visits, vendor meetings, and team leadership.
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, pull, and handle/move up to 50 lbs unassisted (or up to 100 lbs with reasonable accommodation).
