RN Scale: $26.25-33.22

LPN/CMA Scale: $19.77-25.53

Specialty medication prior authorization experience preferred.

Position Summary: Assist in the delivery of primary health care services and patient care management in our clinics under the direction of the physician/provider. High patient volumes demand someone who can give top notch patient care at a fast pace.

Education: Qualified candidate will be be a graduate of a Medical Assistant, LPN, or RN Program. Must have current license to practice in the state of Iowa. BLS and Mandatory Reporting certification.

Experience: Previous clinical experience preferred. New grads are welcome to apply.

Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, strong computer skills. Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate care.


Job Duties: The following is a partial list of duties for this position.

  • Performs general nursing care to patients.

  • Greets patients and prepares them for examination, procedures and testing.

  • Aids physician/provider during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.

  • Observes, records, and reports patient's conditions and reaction to drugs and treatments to provider.

  • Responsible for obtaining and documenting medical histories, current medication lists, immunizations and vital signs in the medical record.

  • Collection and preparation of specimens.

  • Keeps exam and treatment rooms clean and properly stocked with supplies.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed with frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.

Vision must be correctable to view computer screens and read printed information. Hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts and other conversations.
