- Job Details
- Position Summary: The Outpatient Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist provides health care services by assisting in diagnosis or treatment.
- Performs CT procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
- Operates a CT scanner to obtain images used in the diagnosis and treatment of patient pathologies.
- Uses knowledge of imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy to create high quality images for interpretation by radiologists and other medical professionals.
- Modifies technical settings and adjusts scanning parameters to enhance images and minimize unnecessary exposure.
- Performs routine quality inspections and quality control maintenance on scanner as recommended by the manufacturer and/or organizational policies and procedures.
- Job Requirements
- Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalent
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- American Heart Association BLS required within 60 days of hire
- Two (2) years of radiology experience as a registered technologist
- ARRT CT registry eligible
- 1 year post graduation experience with trauma Radiology preferred
- Schedule Information
- Works varied shifts as scheduled and/or needed
- The role may involve working for extended periods, requiring sitting, walking, or standing for eight or more hours daily.
- The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
- On-call work may be required to respond to organizational and patient needs promptly.
- Unit Specific Information
- This is for Advanced Medical Imaging.
- Additional Details
- Candidates must live at least 90 miles from facility to be considered for assignment.
- Facility reserves the right to cancel three (3) shifts per 13-week contract in the event of low census or other unforeseen circumstances.
