- The Registered Nurse works in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team, plans and implements patient and family education and is responsible for assessing the needs and initiating appropriate intervention for patients.

- Competence in and a willingness and ability to practice modified primary nursing
- Collects Comprehensive data pertinent to the patients' health or the situation (Assessment)

- Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or the situation

- Ability to work varied shifts
- The role may involve working for extended periods, requiring sitting, walking, or standing for eight or more hours daily.
- The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
- On-call work may be required to respond to organizational and patient needs promptly.
- Unit Specific Information
- Lifting, Pushing, and Pulling: Support 50 pounds of weight (patient, assist with bedside needs, etc.) Lift 50 pounds (pick up a child, transfer a patient, etc.) Carry equipment/supplies. Use upper body strength (CPR, physically restrain patient, etc.)
- Flexible Schedule: The role may involve working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
- Effective Communication: Proficient in effective communication, both in person and through various technologies.
- Handling Challenging Situations: The role may involve dealing with upset individuals, requiring the ability to de-escalate situations and work effectively with frustrated patients or families.
- Repetitive Tasks: Ability to perform repetitive tasks as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Exposures: Tasks Include Potential Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, medications, infectious diseases, and emotionally challenging situations.
- Additional Details
- Candidates must live at least 90 miles from facility to be considered for assignment.
- Facility reserves the right to cancel three (3) shifts per 13-week contract in the event of low census or other unforeseen circumstances.
