Job Description

The Senior Director of Global IT Infrastructure is a key strategic leadership role responsible for the global strategy, design, implementation, and operation of our Global network and datacenter infrastructure. This leadership role will manage a diverse team across multiple regions, ensuring that our global infrastructure is reliable, secure, and aligned with our business objectives. The Senior Director of Global IT Infrastructure will collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to align IT infrastructure with business needs and strategic goals.

The Senior Director will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our Infrastructure architecture, driving innovation, and ensuring that infrastructure services support the organization's goals in a cost-effective, secure, and scalable manner.

Key Responsibilities Leadership and Strategy
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT infrastructure strategy that supports the organization's objectives and growth plans.
  • Provide visionary leadership and guidance to the global IT infrastructure team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with executive management to align IT infrastructure initiatives with business goals and ensure the effective utilization of IT resources.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends and assess their potential impact on the organization.
Infrastructure Design and Management
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's global IT infrastructure, including data centers, cloud environments, networks, servers, storage, and database services.
  • Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of IT systems and services to support business operations.
  • Implement best practices and standards for IT infrastructure management.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT infrastructure services and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Global Resilience team to develop and maintain a comprehensive backup and disaster recovery strategy, including periodic testing of critical applications.
Security and Compliance
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the organization's IT infrastructure by implementing and enforcing robust security measures and practices.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS where appropriate.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities.  This includes SOX, SOC1, and SOC2 related functions.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to develop and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy.
Team Development and Management
  • Build and lead a high-performing global IT infrastructure team, providing mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Establish performance metrics and conduct regular evaluations to ensure team members meet or exceed expectations.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
Budget and Resource Management
  • Develop and manage the global IT infrastructure budget, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective solutions.
  • Monitor and control infrastructure-related expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings and optimization.
  • Ensure the availability of necessary resources, including personnel, equipment, and services, to support IT infrastructure initiatives
  • Collaborate with the FinOps team to help develop and maintain a comprehensive cost reduction program.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent experience in Computer Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex global IT infrastructure environments.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies, including data centers, networks, servers, storage, and cloud services.
  • Experience with IT infrastructure frameworks and standards, such as ITIL, COBIT, and ISO.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
