SUMMARY

The Slot Technical Shift Manager is the on-floor technical leader responsible for slot machine uptime, shift-level project execution, team development, and real-time operational excellence. This role ensures the gaming floor remains fully operational, compliant, and guest-ready while developing technical staff and supporting continuous improvement across Slot Operations.

The Slot Technical Shift Manager implements all tasks and assignments as directed by the Director of Slot Operations, serving as the primary technical decision-maker during their assigned shift. This position works in close coordination with Slot Operations leadership to execute departmental priorities, maximize performance, and maintain a high standard of service and operational discipline.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Directs and oversees all duties performed by Slot Tech Supervisors, Preventative Maintenance Technicians, and Slot Technicians.

Responsible for hiring, scheduling, training, and evaluating all technicians and preventative maintenance technicians.

Directs and oversees the overall maintenance and performance of casino gaming equipment.

Responsible for machine moves, installations, removals, conversions, and repairs. This includes any needed communication with internal and external organizations to ensure projects are completed within regulatory guidelines.

Schedule all property aspects of casino game projects. Acts as a liaison between vendors and property departments.

Communicates clearly and regularly the department goals and expectations to Slot Technical department employees.

Prepares regular reports on the status of department. Including: key performance indicators as determined by department management, employee morale, technical skill levels of employees, staffing requirements, and game performance recommendations.

Responsible for maintaining a department manual.

Ensures compliance with company standards and gaming regulations.  Enforces departmental policies and procedures.

Provide exceptional guest service and display the R.I.C.H. values and 3 E's of Cache Creek Casino Resort to all guests and employees

Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises 10 to 15 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Must have a minimum of 5 years related experience; Bachelor's degree (B.A); or equivalent of experience and education. To perform all aspects of this job a comprehensive knowledge of multiple applications and software is required. The Slot Technical Shift Manager must have working knowledge of applications for data analysis, inventory management, employee management and gaming operations management. Strong guest service and teamwork skills necessary to deliver superior casino resort experience to a diverse guest base. Display strong leadership qualities and the ability to serve both internal and external guests. Needs strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a professional manner. Needs the ability to maintain high confidentiality and adapt quickly to changing priorities. Needs to have the ability to coach, mentor, and support employees, while enforcing company policies.

AGE REQUIREMENT

Must be at least 21 years of age.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization; along with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Needs to have strong computer skills, the ability to utilize MS Office applications.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Cache Creek Casino Tribal Gaming License.
