General Summary:
Performs stress tests under supervision of the supervising Cardiologist.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provides responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:
- Qualified candidates should have at least 3 years critical care or relevant experience with a strong interest in adult cardiology care.
- This part-time/per diem RN position will include performance of nuclear and non-nuclear cardiac stress testing, and advanced EKG interpretation, monitoring a 12-lead EKG throughout the test.
- Coordinates the response to other patient care needs as identified.
- The RN participates in calling patients to gather pretest information and provides pretest instructions.
- Administration of oral and peripheral cardiology therapies.
- Review patient history, diagnostics, and lab data, and report any abnormalities.
- Assess patient's physical, psychological, and social needs.
- Assess pain and implement appropriate pain management techniques.
- Actively participate in performance improvement and quality activities.
- Patient communication and education
- Responsible for reporting identified safety issues.
- Collaboration with the health care team.
- Follows established protocols.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Registered Nurse License (Required)
- BLS, ACLS (Required)
- Critical Care: 3 years (Preferred)
- Registered Nurse: 3 years (Preferred)
