Description
What you will do: The Manufacturing Engineer will investigate, analyze, develop and recommend improvements in manufacturing and administrative processes, procedures and systems to improve quality, productivity and efficiency. This individual will be responsible for providing a plan and implementing process improvements, equipment upgrades and capital programs to improve and reduce cycle time, improve direct labor efficiencies, eliminate non-value added tasks, reduce scrap and improve reclaim of core.
Essential Duties:
- Investigate and analyze processes to improve quality, productivity and efficiency while decreasing costs. Upon approval of recommendations, implement and manage projects.
- Develop standards of performance in manufacturing processes/tasks including multiple variables using motion and time study with responsibility to carry out changes or monitor operations/ standards.
- Investigate problems pertaining to work flow patterns, manpower utilization, material handling procedures, plant layout, methods and make versus buy decisions.
- Design, draw, research, and implement tooling / fixtures for manufacturing equipment processes.
- Interface with customers
- Produce and maintain manufacturing processes for the plant.
