- THIS POSITION REQUIRES A FULL 3 YEARS OF ICU EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED.
- The right candidate will have 3 full years of current ICU experience
- Travelers could also float to the sister facility Mercy Gilbert, if needed.
- Typically, every other weekend is required but might have to work 3 weekends a month if unit is busy and needs extra coverage.
- Flexibility is a must.
- Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts.
- There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation (study guides will be provided with the first day instructions).
- COVID vaccine is required or declination form with appropriate documentation AND hospital approval.
- Job Requirements
- 3 full years of current ICU experience
- Active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and AZ license or compact license (TNCC is preferred).
- Must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts.
- Pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation.
- Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48hrs PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE of a position.
- Schedule Information
- Typically, every other weekend is required
- Might have to work 3 weekends a month if unit is busy
- Must be willing to self-schedule and potentially work on holidays
- No additional call/standby shifts required
- May be low censused up to 3 times per contract depending on unit needs
- Self-scheduling is allowed
- Manager may need to balance shifts for unit needs
- Unit Specific Information
- Nurse:Patient Ratios are 1:2 or 1:1
- RNs are required to titrate drips
- No nurse aids on the unit, used for sitters and as Health Unit Secretary
- No Tele/Monitor Techs on unit, RN required to interpret their own strip
- Additional Details
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications are necessary
- Recent ICU experience is a must
- Expected to float between all 3 ICUs at the facility
- Uniform dress code: Navy scrubs
