    Certification Details
  • ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
  • MUST BE ABLE TO TITRATE CARDIAC DRIPS!!
  • Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (WITH 2 MAX ATTEMPTS), within 48 hours of offer.
  • There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on day one of orientation (study guides will be provided with first day instructions).
  • If traveler fails Sim, they will be sent home and made a DNU
  • Will float between all Tele and MedSurg units
  • Certs: BLS, ACLS
    Job Details
  • A hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced nurses for a travel contract for their MS/Tele float pool.
  • The right candidate will have 2+ years of current tele experience, an active BLS, ACLS and AZ license or compact.
  • Travelers are required to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to starting (2 max attempts) and will take a pass/fail Sim lab on day 1 of orientation.
  • COVID vaccine is required or declination form with supporting documentation from clergy or MD.
    Job Requirements
  • 2+ years of current tele experience
  • Active BLS, ACLS and AZ license or compact
    Schedule Information
  • 12 hr shifts. 7-7.
  • Floor specific orientation: 2 days on the floor or 2 shifts on the floor.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Unit: CV Tele B3A, A3 Neuro, MedSurg C5, MedSurg B2C
  • # beds varies per unit
  • Ratios: 1:3-4 or 1:4 ratio, days and nights
  • Charge Nurse: Yes, no patient assignment. Also have a Clinical Supervisor in a management role.
  • Techs: PCTs - 1 per every 16 patients.
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per 4 week period.
  • Scrub Color: Navy
  • Tele: Centralized tele. RNs must be able to interpret EKGs.
  • Vents: No
  • Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Hospitalist rounds during the day and on call at night.
  • IV Team: No
  • RT 24/7: Yes
  • Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
  • Common diagnosis / Types of patients vary per unit
  • Floating: To similar or lower acuity.
  • Additional Notes on specific equipment or procedures per unit
    Additional Details
  • Floating is required.
  • Notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hrs prior to shift start.
  • Floating to different units mid-shift can happen.
  • Rare to float to another campus within a single shift, but possible.
  • The distance between the 2 campuses is 9 miles.
  • Must clock-out when leaving one campus then clock-in when arrive at the other campus.
