Job Purpose

As a HR Business Partner (HRBP), you will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated regions. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.

How You Will Impact Education

  • Assists in the creation and management of long-term human resource programs including employee policies, recruitment and onboarding procedures, engagement initiatives and other employee-related matters.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact to answer general HR-related inquiries and responds to questions or concerns timely and accurately.
  • Counsel managers on employee relations issues such as performance problems, employee complaints etc., and partner with Legal department when necessary to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Analyzes regional metrics and prepares necessary reports.
  • Develops a plan of action to adjust management behaviors to meet company strategic goals.
  • Create and facilitate training for employees on policies and procedures relevant to Employee Relations in compliance with federal and state law.
  • Partner with subject matter experts in Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Employee Relations, and Benefits to create the end-to-end strategy required by the organization and regions to find, grow, and retain the best.
  • Perform and promote all activities in compliance with all Federal and state laws and policies of the company and participate in investigations of employee matters in the areas of EEOC charges, Wage and Hour complaints, ADA and ADAAA compliance, employee disputes etc.
  • Works with school-based leadership to investigate and resolve employee issues at the school level.
  • Work with school leadership on disciplinary action steps via Improvement Action Forms (IAFs) and follow-through on goals and timeframe for improvement.
  • Manages the recommit process for assigned region and partners with the National team on the process.
  • Facilitate the merit process and bonus payouts for assigned region through partnership with the National team.
  • Serves as the focal point for ensuring resources are available and supports new school start-up.
  • Facilitate school Culture Checks and complete analysis report.
  • Provide performance management guidance to managers (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Monitoring your assigned region workflows (new hires, transfers, termination, etc.) and assist with timely processing.
  • Supports field leadership in addressing people-related matters with external constituencies involved with the school including Board, local community, etc.
  • Possess the requisite skills and experience to provide guidance in the following areas: workforce planning, talent assessment, performance management, career planning, coaching, data analysis, employee relations, employee development, recognition programs, on- boarding, total rewards, and compliance.
  • Acts as the culture evangelist driving internal and external awareness of company values, people, achievements, benefits, and future opportunities.
  • Fosters open and transparent communication to encourage sharing of knowledge, information, news, and responsibilities throughout the organization.
  • Supports field team by creating offer letters and assisting in the onboarding of new team members.
  • Audit employee personnel files (reference checks, BEC, PPS disciplinary action search proof).

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related Masters preferred.
  • 5 to 8 years of broad HR experience.
  • Experience working in a multi-site environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Previous workforce engagement experience preferred
  • Experience using data to identify insights that drive action
  • May perform other duties assigned.
