As an Instructional Technology Specialist (ITS), you will facilitate the integration of technology into instructional programs. The primary responsibility of the ITS is to enhance and improve the teaching and learning process though technology. The role involves collaboration with school teams, state teams, and national team to develop, implement, and support technology-rich educational strategies that align with the CSUSA Education Model.
How You Will Impact Education
- Collaborates with state leadership, school administrators to assess, create, and implement technology integration based on school plan.
- Coordinates with the Curriculum & Instruction Team and other business units on content, educational models, goal setting, and training plans for supported products and systems.
- Develops and facilitates synchronous and asynchronous professional development, and training sessions with school staff to increase knowledge of technology.
- Assists in developing curriculum materials and lesson plans that facilitate the implementation of the school technology plan.
- Facilitates the selection, installation, and start-up of educational technology systems and equipment.
- Participates with system technology committees to identify instructional goals and objectives and to develop long range technology plans to accomplish them.
- Prepares and presents information about the technology for internal and external communication.
- Collects feedback on technology usage for continuous improvement efforts, input to purchasing decisions, and training and support needs.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required in Education, Instructional Technology, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred in one of the following areas: Educational Leadership, Instructional Technology, Library Media Sciences and Curriculum Instruction.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in K-12 Teaching, Media Specialist, and/or Instructional Technology.
- Must hold a teaching certificate from any state.
- Strong understanding of pedagogical methods and how they relate to technology integration.
- Proficiency in various educational technologies and digital platforms.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain Apple Learning Coach and Microsoft Educator Trainer recognitions.
- Excellent customer service skills with a sense of urgency and the ability to work with people of various backgrounds and all levels of technical knowledge.
- Ability to train and motivate adult learners.
- Will require multi-day travel both inside and outside of the state.
- May require occasional weekend travel.
- May perform other duties assigned.
