JOB PURPOSE
The Senior Desktop Services Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the comprehensive fleet management and maintenance of devices within the K12 educational and enterprise environment. This position will focus on the Windows, Apple, and Chrome MDM platforms, ensuring the seamless integration and functionality of mobile devices to support the educational mission. The Senior Manager will lead a team and will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the security, efficiency, and effectiveness of devices used within the K12 educational environment.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead and manage a team of mobile device technicians, providing mentorship, performance management, and professional development opportunities to ensure a high-performing team.
- Oversee the deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Windows, Apple iOS and MacOS, and Chrome MDM platforms across the K12 educational environment, ensuring that all devices are properly managed and aligned with educational goals.
- Develop and implement strategies for ensuring the security and integrity of mobile devices, including the enforcement of device usage policies, compliance with industry standards, and the implementation of best practices for data protection.
- Develop strategies for device lifecycle management, including upgrades, replacements, and disposal.
- Maintain and track school fleet readiness for testing and progress monitoring assessments.
- Monitor and maintain an accurate inventory of mobile devices, utilizing robust asset tracking systems to ensure proper management and allocation of devices across multiple locations within the educational institution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to mobile devices, working closely with the IT team and external vendors to ensure timely and effective resolution of technical problems.
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts, and overseeing service level agreements to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and support for mobile device management.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including device inventories, MDM configurations, support tickets, breakage rates and knowledge base articles, to facilitate knowledge sharing and reference.
- Perform other duties as delegated by manager/director.
- Follow federal and state laws, as well as company policies.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- In-depth knowledge of Windows, Apple and Chrome MDM platforms and their associated tools and features, with hands-on experience in configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting these systems.
- Strong understanding of mobile device security, including device enrollment, configuration, and compliance management, as well as experience in implementing and enforcing security policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate strong experience with fleet management with complex needs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mobile device platforms, including Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android, and Windows, and the ability to effectively manage and troubleshoot issues across these platforms.
- Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting a wide range of mobile devices commonly used in educational settings, including Laptops, iPads, Chromebooks, and other educational technology devices.
- Experience with mobile device inventory management and asset tracking systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of device allocation and usage.
- Familiarity with educational technology trends and their impact on mobile device management within K12 environments, including knowledge of educational software and applications commonly used in the classroom.
- Leadership and team management skills, including the ability to motivate and guide a team of technical professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Knowledge of best practices for mobile device deployment, configuration, and ongoing support within educational settings, with a focus on aligning mobile device management with educational objectives and requirements.
- Expertise in device security and compliance management, including implementing encryption, configuring malware protection, enforcing data loss prevention measures, and ensuring adherence to privacy regulations like FERPA and COPPA.
- Project management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends, technologies, and features in the field of Intune and MDM, and a proactive approach to continuous learning and professional development. Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment toward the job and the mission of the company; supports company's goals and strategic priorities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field; relevant industry certifications are a plus.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in mobile device management within an educational setting, with a strong preference for experience within K12 education.
- Proven experience in managing and leading a team of technicians or IT professionals, with a demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Relevant certifications such as the Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) or the Google Chrome Enterprise certification, demonstrating expertise in iOS, iTunes, and Chrome MDM platforms.
- Strong understanding of mobile device security best practices and compliance standards within educational environments, including experience with mobile device enrollment, configuration, and compliance management.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with CSUSA salary and benefit policy. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by Charter Schools USA.

Job is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
