Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist Lead Field Training Specialist to ensure the integrity of the Manager in Training program by updating training materials and completing weekly reporting.
  • Monitors Certified Store Manager Trainer Program assisting with the certification of candidates once standards are met keeping operations management informed on candidate progress.
  • Compiles and shares other training reporting and assists with trainee file maintenance as needed.
  • Facilitates instructor led training, utilizing adult learning principles, appropriate presentation tools and equipment.
  • Provides in-store training to Store Managers, store teams, and others to enhance their levels of performance and recommend course corrections to management when needed.
  • Provides onboarding support during store acquisitions and new store openings.  
  • Develops lesson plans, training materials, and scheduling for new programs and systems when required. 
  • Increases professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying and reviewing existing and new laws pertaining to Circle K products, services, and processes.

MUST HAVE:

  • A passion for training and seeing others succeed while having fun at work
  • Successful completion of the Gulf Coast Manager in Training Program in a training store
  • Two years retail and/or training/education experience
  • Strong presentation, written, and verbal skills
  • Literacy in MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and TEAMS
  • Strong team orientation
  • Flexibility to adapt to busy working environment and pivot quickly to changing responsibilities, priorities, and deadlines
  • Detail orientation with good organizational skills
  • 50% travel and overnight stays

WE ARE EXCITED IF YOU HAVE:

  • Proficiency in Articulate 360
  • Experience with Workday HR/LMS/Recruiting functions
  • Bachelor's degree in a HR, Training, or Business
  • Retail management experience
  • Knowledge of Circle K store operations

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to regularly stand up to 8 hours, walk, sit, talk and/or hear
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to use hands to handle or grasp items of varying weight
  • Ability to reach with both hands and arms
  • Ability to drive up to 8 hours
