Job Summary:

Partner with store operations through various training and support roles. Recruit, onboard, and train new team members as requested.  Establish an upbeat atmosphere while on location, including a positive attitude towards fluid situations. Maintain computer software and hardware. Validate knowledge of existing employees, provide in-store training to Store Managers, store teams, and others to enhance their performance levels, and recommend course corrections to management when needed. Continually improve the quality and consistency of training materials. Verify adherence to company policies, procedures, and programs. Responsible for product inventory, merchandising, and daily reporting. Oversee cash controls and merchandise shrink. Ensure excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • To supervise stores during the absence of a store/district manager as assigned
  • Implement and maintain a safe working environment for customers and team members.
  • Build rapport with Trainees and encourage their development.
  • Maintain clean interior and exterior store appearance as per Operating Standards.
  • Provides onboarding support during store acquisitions and new store openings.
  • Monitor and maintain all food service areas per policies and government regulations.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying and reviewing existing and new laws about Circle K products, services, and processes.
  • Support the development and implementation of training materials to assist in the rollout of new programs and/or systems within the Business Unit.
  • Other duties as requested by authorized personnel.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field is preferred.  
  • Five or more years of management-related experience, including people development/training.
  • Willingness for extensive travel (2 to 3 weeks at a time) and flexible hours; Up to 30% overnight travel.
  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word; and/or willing to learn.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills; will need to communicate effectively through reporting.
  • Must be self-motivated to accomplish all assigned duties in a set timeframe.
  • Strong team orientation with excellent leadership skills.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities and the ability to manage multiple activities.
  • Exhibit flexibility in accepting direction.
  • Must always maintain a positive team attitude and professional demeanor.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to regularly stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear for long periods (up to 10 hours per day)
  • Ability to reach with both hands over your head frequently and comfortably.
  • Work in heated and freezer areas.
  • Bend, kneel, squat or stand for periods of time.
  • Ability to use hands to handle or grasp items of varying weight.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
