Circle K is looking for a Vehicle Mechanic to work in our fuel transportation shop in Waycross, GA. Candidates for this job must have a strong eye for detail, provide quick and strategic solutions, and adapt to sudden changes. We are looking for fast paced, self-motivated team players who have a positive attitude and extreme determination as we continue to build out our Fleet Transportation network.

Responsibilities

  • Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties (brakes, air systems, top end work etc.,)
  • Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
  • Performs preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnoses standard mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic tools when applicable.
  • Identifies root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required.
  • Replaces defective components as instructed.
  • Performs facility maintenance duties.
  • Interacts with operators/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task.
  • Utilizes key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available.
  • Works in accordance with all federal/provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT, etc.)
  • Performs other support duties as required to support operations. These could include but are not limited to road service support.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Post-secondary vocational education strongly preferred.
  • Must have minimum tool requirement.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Valid CDL (license A) is highly desired.
  • Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.
  • Successfully pass all screening criteria
