ADVISOR II - FOREIGN EXCHANGE

 

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The FX Advisor II plays a pivotal role in driving success and growth of our Foreign Exchange (FX) Sales Desk. This role involves managing a portfolio of clients, executing trades and proactively seeking new business opportunities through in-depth client discovery. This client-facing position demands strong sales and communication skills, strategic vision, accountability and the ability to thrive in a collaborative and results driven culture. The FX Advisor II will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify new opportunities, service existing clients, and ensure seamless end-to-end delivery of FX solutions.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
  • Work closely with relationship managers to identify and deliver foreign exchange solutions and services to bank clients and prospects.
  • Drive revenue growth by executing FX solutions tailored to clients' unique needs, ensuring a seamless process from identifying opportunities to execution.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by analyzing client/prospect foreign currency exposures, proposing risk mitigation strategies, and structuring FX transactions with precision and accountability.
  • Manage, develop, and deepen engagement with portfolio clients across middle market, business banking, private banking, asset managers and entertainment clients.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including trading, operations, compliance, and risk, to ensure successful execution of transactions and regulatory adherence.
  • Interface with various operations units to ensure that client FX issues and concerns are addressed and resolved.
  • Interface with credit and legal teams to ensure timely approval and execution of legal documents.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and risk management frameworks while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Analyze and interpret market data and trends and develop written commentary for clients and prospects
  • Maintain current knowledge of bank products and services and refer cross-sell opportunities as appropriate

 

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Required Qualifications*
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Foreign Exchange and/or capital markets sales and analysis
  • Minimum 4 years of experience using financial market-related software systems.
  Additional Qualifications
  • Must have FX knowledge including quotations, products (spots, forwards, options, swaps), risk management (identifying FX risks, understanding clients' risk appetites, and offering appropriate solutions), together with excellent verbal/written communication skills allowing for interaction with all levels of bank personnel and customers.
  • Demonstrated use of effective sales, communication and presentation skills. Maintaining excellence and accountability with his/her own work and can build trust with internal and external clients.
  • Pro-active interpersonal and business development skills to work with Business Development Officers and Relationship Managers to service CNB FX clients.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to details with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must have computer literacy, with high proficiency in Microsoft Office, including excel and Powerpoint. Possess the ability to create, digest and improve reports and presentations for sales activity and growth.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Compensation Starting base salary: $111,408 - $189,738 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
