AUDIT MANAGER II- DATA ANALYTICS WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The role of the Data Products & Insights Audit Manager II position within the CAE Group is to drive digital transformation by developing data-driven solutions for internal audit. The position is a team member in the Digital Enablement Internal Audit Team and responsible for assisting in the research, development, and delivery of strategic and analytics initiatives to achieve Audit objectives in alignment with Internal Audit's transformation goals. These initiatives affect operations and audit execution across multiple geographies and/or across multiple business units/platforms. Responsible for researching and developing foundational analytics that support Internal Audit RBC US teams.

You will work within a high-throughput analytics team of like-minded individuals, developing sustainable, scalable, and reusable data products that enhance audit efficiency and effectiveness as part of the strategy to digitally transform the RBC CAE Group. The RBC CAE Group leverages a unique perspective- with a coordinated view across the entire business-to deliver valuable advice that not only gives assurance, but that illuminates a bigger picture, connects dots, builds best practices and broadens possibilities. WHAT WILL YOU DO?
  • Lead the development and implementation of innovative data products that enhance audit efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of large and complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and key risk indicators before translating findings into actionable insights for audit teams.
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy and integrity of data used to perform analytics during audit engagements.
  • Develop and implement automated processes to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance scalability of audit analytics solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with audit teams to gather requirements and understand needs. Then translate the needs into effective analytics solutions. Partner with other teams in the CAE Digital Innovation, Data & Analytics group to adhere to data governance standards, identify and onboard new datasets into the CAE analytics ecosystem.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technology, methods, and best practices around analytics and audit. Research and pilot new ideas to push boundaries and enhance audit capabilities.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Required Qualifications*
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of audit or related experience in banking operations, compliance, and/or risk management activities.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience conducting internal audits within financial institutions and supervising staff.
  • CPA - Certified Public Accountant Or
  • CIA - Certified Internal Auditor Or
  • CISA - Certified Information Systems Auditor Or
  • CFA - Charter Financial Analyst Or
  • CAMS - Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist Or
  • CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional Or
Additional Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL and data visualization software
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Experience working with non-technical stakeholders to translate business requirements and needs into data-driven solutions
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
  • Continually demonstrate commitment to and application of RBC Leadership Model Behavior
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with team members, process stakeholders, support groups, business partner teams, to ensure collaboration and cooperation to meet timing of projects
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Compensation Starting base salary: $101,231 - $172,355 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
