TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM MANAGER-WEALTH MANAGEMENT
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? CNB is seeking a high-caliber, Program Manager / Senior Project Manager to lead a mission critical wealth custody system conversion project. You will be the bridge between our high-touch Wealth Management business and internal and external delivery teams and vendors. The position is responsible for the planning and successful delivery of long-term complex technology implementations, specific to the business unit, while leading matrixed project team members that are each responsible for elements therein. This includes collaborating with other enterprise functions, building technology project governance structures and delivery plans to enable fulfillment of articulated business goals. Role is instrumental in driving and tracking project activities, schedule, scope, and budget, as well as negotiating changes in plans and effective communication with all stakeholders. Success of technology project outcomes will be measured by the degree with which the initiative was delivered within timeline expectations, budget and scope.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Independently manage multiple workstreams within a highly complex long-term projects with significant impact on business processes and technology used firm wide
- Contribute to the strategic direction and develop tactical plans with substantial latitude
- Facilitate cross functional collaboration oriented towards effective and organized project and portfolio management
- Provide comprehensive project management solutions to complex problems having extensive contact with internal clients and the business
- Independently manage the program from proposal and requirements definition to project planning and implementation, using broad and extensive input from industry and/or business unit subject matter experts
- Independently manage project/program activities relating to meeting objectives, budgets, scope, quality & compliance standards and schedules
- Perform project risk assessments, including identifying key risk factors, providing effective mitigation strategies and assigning contingency action plans to both schedules and budgets
- Manage projects and teams, including applying established methodologies, using change control templates and processes; managing time and recording activities using defined scheduling tools; monitoring budgets; coordinating resource acquisition and utilization; serving as a liaison with internal customers and external suppliers; and communicating regularly with project stakeholders.
- Interface with all levels of management throughout the bank
- Display creativity when designing solutions to project related problems
- Create formalized reports and presentations, and present them to senior and executive level management (translate complex technical milestones into high-impact presentations for the Operating Committee)
- Creates effective governance structures and routines that consider strategic goals, existing project portfolios and multi-divisional impacts
- Contributes effectively to the collective team effort and offers ideas and solutions to complex problems
- Be recognized as a trusted mentor and leader throughout the bank and a credible role model to junior staff and peers
- Contributes to solution selection and implementation which impacts critical Bank units or functions
- Leverage technology for improved efficiency (usage of AI-powered PMO tools to automate status reporting, predict bottlenecks and optimize the Jira/Confluence ecosystem for tracking)
- Participate in long-range planning and development of application or product roadmaps with business owners, incorporating best practices with a focus on compliance and risk mitigation
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 7 years of experience managing highly complex technical projects involving large teams
- Minimum of 2 years technical program and/or portfolio manager experience
- Experience with Wealth Managment Technology and upgrade projects/program required.
- Ability to leverage industry knowledge to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways; develop resolutions to critical issues and broad matters.
- Adept at all aspects of program management methodology (Agile and Waterfall as well as hybrid delivery models), project management tools (e.g. Clarity) and techniques across all project activities; PMP certification preferred
- Excellent presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to articulate and clearly communicate complex problems and solutions in a simple and logical manner
- Well-developed analytical skills and demonstrated ability to provide clarity to complex issues and synthesize large amounts of information
- Must be able to create highly complex MS Project plans, MS PowerPoint decks and Excel workbooks
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Compensation Starting base salary: $99,000 - $176,000 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
