The Opportunity
Convert HTML prototypes into reusable SASS component styles within AEMaaCS Style System. Build and maintain components in the AEM Style System, ensuring design consistency across the redesign. Develop and document components in Storybook for testing and reusability. Write clean, maintainable CSS/SCSS and JavaScript (ES6+) to implement UI styling. Optimize CSS and JavaScript for performance, accessibility, and maintainability. Upgrade and manage NPM dependencies, ensuring compatibility, security, and stability. Write and maintain unit and integration tests (Jest, Mocha, or Cypress). Debug and troubleshoot CSS/JavaScript issues to ensure smooth UI/UX functionality. Participate in agile workflows: sprint planning, code reviews, daily stand-ups. Collaborate with designers, backend teams, and AEM developers for seamless integration. Manage code versioning via GitHub and CI/CD pipelines. Ensure adherence to WCAG accessibility standards and frontend best practices. Meet sprint deadlines tied to component styling milestones.

The Responsibilities

The Qualifications
 

• Mid-Level or Senior frontend development experience
• Strong AEMaaCS experience with demonstrated expertise in the AEM Style System
• Proficiency in CSS3/SASS and JavaScript (ES6+)
• Comfortable translating HTML prototypes into SASS/AEM component structure without Figma specifications
• Hands-on experience with Storybook for component management and documentation
• Experience with Webpack, npm dependency management, and build tooling
• Proficiency with unit testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Cypress)
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong debugging and CSS/JavaScript performance optimization skills
• Ability to work independently and manage frontend styling responsibilities
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• Prior experience with AEM component redesigns or styling system overhauls (strong plus)
• Accessibility (WCAG) implementation experience (strong plus)
• Experience working in agile development environments (strong plus)
• Performance optimization expertise for CSS and JavaScript (strong plus)
• Self-directed developer comfortable translating design prototypes into code (strong plus)
• Deep understanding of component-driven architecture and reusable design systems (strong plus)
• Strong collaboration skills across design, backend, and AEM teams (strong plus)

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $65.00/hour - $87.00/hour
