Join the City of Edmonton's Legal Services team as our Branch Administrative Assistant. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will use your in-depth administrative expertise to effectively support the City Solicitor and the Legal Services Branch Manager's Office. Key responsibilities include actioning high-priority requests and proactively supporting senior leadership - requiring agility, discretion and significant attention to detail.

What will you do?
- Act as the main administrative point of contact to ensure all inquiries and Council reports are reviewed and approved in a timely manner
- Anticipate executive-level administrative needs and provide timely solutions
- Proactively manage the Branch Manager/City Solicitor's calendar and related briefing materials
- Draft and edit documents to support day-to-day operations, including agendas, reports, memos, letters and other correspondence
- Engage the Legal, Insurance and Claims, and Corporate Security sections on a wide variety of requests
- Coordinate requests for information under the Access to Information Act
- Understand and recognize politically sensitive and/or confidential issues
- Undertake projects and special assignments assigned by the Branch Manager/City Solicitor or the Branch Leadership Team
