You will succeed if you are safety focused, agile in response to uncertainty and change and can complete a high volume of diverse tasks in a respectful, inclusive and service-minded way.

With a focus on the City of Edmonton's Cultural Commitments to Safe, Helpful, Accountable, Integrated and Excellent, you will:

  • Maintain site assets, including fencing, minor plumbing repairs, snow removal, grass cutting, tree trimming, painting, splitting wood and garden preparation
  • Operate a variety of tools and equipment, such as snow plows, snow blowers, chainsaws, skid steers, table saws, generators
  • Perform various carpentry duties, such as repairing boardwalks, assembling/repairing tables and benches, and managing other small projects as they arise
  • Inspect and perform minor repairs on mechanical rides
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure successful events, including performing event set up and take down
  • Contribute to a respectful and safety-oriented team culture by updating training, setting safe work practices and providing direction to individuals and other units
  • Other related duties as required
