What will you do?
- Represent the City and its employees in legal proceedings before the court, boards, and other public forums
- Gather facts through interviews and documents
- Research and apply the law in divergent factual situations
- Draft legal documents
- Provide advice and recommendations for the conduct and resolution of cases
- Retain and instruct outside experts in a wide variety of areas
- Negotiate and mediate resolution of complex and adversarial matters
- Take a proactive role in providing recommendations to avoid risk/liability
- Research and understand the City structure, policy and procedure
