As an MIT with Clayton you will be in an accelerated, developmental program designed to prepare you for a future Home Center Manager role. Through your training you will become familiar with sales, operations, leadership, and internal strategies.

What You'll Be Doing:

You will be responsible for learning our sales process, building your personal sales pipeline, and completing our Manager Development Program that is designed to prepare you for future management opportunities within 18-30 months:

  • Sales & Marketing
    • Learn the Clayton products, sales process, and focus on developing your personal sales pipeline
    • Develop marketing strategies to build your personal brand
  • Operations & Business Acumen
    • Understand and analyze the P&L statement
    • Assess current inventory and learn how to select and manage future inventory
    • Develop a business plan for store growth and profitability
    • Understand the construction process from site preparation to delivery and home set up
  • Leadership
    • Provide leadership and insight into the development strategy of the store
    • Partner with Home Center Manager, Director of Manager Development, TMX Business Partner, and other leaders to understand relevant company policies and procedures
    • Facilitate weekly sales meetings by effectively integrating development opportunities, relevant training, company initiatives, and goal setting for your team

When You'll Be Doing It:

  • 5-day work week, Saturdays required
  • Closed on Sundays, one day off during the week

Compensation:

  • You will receive a base salary of $80,000
  • Lucrative commission plan and incentive opportunities
  • Per home bonus after 6 months

Training: As an MIT you will participate in our sales training program focused on product knowledge, the sales and construction process, and how to structure a deal. After completing sales training, you will enroll in our Manager Development Program featuring six modules designed to prepare you for future management roles.

Must Be Able To:

  • Relocate
  • Obtain state required manufactured home sales license
  • Use necessary technology
