Job Description

The Manager, Simulation Lab will manage all aspects of the nursing laboratories in the nursing department, which includes but is not limited to: onsite training of faculty and students demonstrating the use of simulation equipment, do research to keep the equipment and supplies updated to what is being used in the community, hiring, training, and evaluating Simulation Tech; Laboratory Tech; and RN Tutors working with the Department chair; Program Director and course Coordinators to implement the new simulation equipment into the lab curriculum; supervise the ordering, maintenance, and inventory of equipment and supplies; budgeting lab consumables for the nursing labs and budgeting tutor's salaries; planning and implementing the continual expansion of the nursing labs; adhering to OSHA guidelines and maintaining laboratory safety.

The ideal candidate should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Proficiency in use of a personal computer and current software applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Make decisions and take actions independently for a variety of diverse situations

  • Show a high degree of creativity and initiative

  • Knowledge of the Nursing process, practice, and theory in the hospital and the community setting

  • Knowledge and experience with managing the researching, ordering, inventory, and maintenance of large amounts of soft consumables

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in nursing or related field from an accredited college or university

  • Registered Nurse, Licensed in Nevada

  • 4 years of comparable professional experience

  • 1 years' experience as a lead or supervising others in a similar setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree in Nursing, Health Sciences or related field from an accredited college or university or in pursuit

Salary Information
Administrative Faculty D – The starting salary is $75,564
