As a full time, nonexempt Pharmacy Technician with CPS Solutions, LLC at Clive Behavioral Health, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
Pay Range: $21-23/hr based on experience
Schedule: This full time position is scheduled to work 30 hours per week in the pharmacy, no weekends. This may change as census increases.
About the Pharmacy: The hours of operation are 8am-4:00pm Monday-Friday. The Pharmacy utilizes CPOE and Omnicell dispensing cabinets.
About the Facility: Clive Behavioral Health is a 100 bed, Joint Commission accredited hospital, that provides high-quality behavioral healthcare in Central Iowa, offering a broad range of treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. The facility features a full continuum of inpatient services including units to serve children and adolescents. Specialty programs for adults with co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. In addition, the facility offers robust outpatient programs for both adults and adolescents to help address the most prevalent behavioral health concerns and treatment for depression, anxiety disorders and other common behavioral health issues. The facility is 83,000 square-feet, with a one-story area for clinical and support services and a three-story unit for inpatient services. Inpatient services are offered to children and adolescents, ages 5 to 17, who struggle with depression, anxiety or another behavioral health issue that impacts their home and school life. Clive Behavioral Health is a partnership of MercyOne and UHS to address the growing, unmet need for accessible, high-quality and advanced behavioral health services in Iowa. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Iowa Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
- Recent work experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital setting preferred
- Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
- Effective communications skills; verbal and written
Hospital Requirements (may be required):
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
- Hep B3 Series (or declination)
- (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
- COVID Vaccine - Full
