Staff Pharmacist – Per Diem
Granite Hills Hospital
West Allis, WI
As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Staff Pharmacist at Granite Hills Hospital, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.
Schedule: Must be available every other weekend. This position is needed to work mainly for weekend coverage, 2-4 hour shifts, flexible in/out times, along with on call during the same weekend, Saturday-Sunday. Also needed to cover PTO for the Director during weekdays as needed.
About the Facility: Granite Hills hospital will be a 120 bed hospital accredited by the Joint Commisson that provides mental and behavioral health services to a variety of ages. CPS has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS.
About the Pharmacy: The Pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm, and closed weekends and the six major holidays. After hours pharmacy services provides coverage for weekdays after business hours and on a 24/7 basis weekends and holidays. The pharmacy utilizes HCS, Omnicell automation with CPOE and eMAR technology. Once the patient census increases the pharmacy hours may expand to include weekends.
Required Qualifications:
- Pharmacy Degree (BS or PharmD) from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- State of Wisconsin Pharmacist license in good standing
- Recent experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting, Behavioral hospital preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to solve problems, establish trust and credibility
- Demonstrated teaching, relevant professional publications and involvement with professional organizations
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, respond to client concerns and work cooperatively with other staff
Hospital Requirements: (may be required)
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
- Hep B3 Series (or declination)
- (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
- COVID Vaccine-Full (required)
