A Day in the Life of an LPN/CMA - Neurology Clinic

This role is the organizational and clinical backbone of a busy Neurology clinic, ensuring each patient's visit is seamless, informed, and purposeful. You will provide hands-on patient care—rooming and assessing patients, assisting with procedures, administering medications, and utilizing specialized neurological equipment to evaluate brain, nerve, and muscle function. Beyond direct care, you will coordinate testing, referrals, authorizations, and prescription refills while maintaining precise documentation that supports high-quality outcomes. Acting as the central communication link, you will guide patients and families through complex care plans and collaborate closely with physicians, nursing colleagues, scheduling staff, and external partners. The pace can be demanding and detail-heavy, requiring strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to stay organized while delivering exceptional customer service.

About the Neurology Department  Expert Care, Close to Home for Every Mind and Movement

From epilepsy and migraines to Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis, we serve as a trusted regional resource for expert diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management. Our board-certified neurologist works closely with skilled nursing staff to guide patients through every stage of their care journey, ensuring timely follow-up, clear education, and seamless coordination of services. In addition to general neurology care, we are proud to offer advanced diagnostic testing, including electromyography (EMG), to help pinpoint nerve and muscle disorders and create personalized treatment plans.
