A Day in the Life of a Patient Access - Radiology Scheduling (PAS) The Patient Access Specialist in Radiology primarily focuses on scheduling a range of radiologic procedures including MRIs, CT scans, and ultrasounds, ensuring each appointment adheres to specific provider preferences and procedural guidelines. This role requires maintaining accurate patient records and verifying pertinent information, such as demographic and insurance details, to uphold seamless communication with healthcare providers and external agencies. Challenges include managing high volume scheduling demands and ensuring all data entry is precise and confidential. Collaboration with clinical staff and other departments is essential to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes. The specialist typically handles multiple tasks simultaneously, providing both clerical support and stellar customer service in a fast-paced environment. About the Radiology Administration Department Optimizing Radiology, Enhancing Care In Radiology Administration at CRMC, we ensure that the entire imaging department runs smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with the latest healthcare regulations. From managing schedules and optimizing workflows to ensuring imaging technology is up to date and properly maintained, our team plays a critical role in keeping radiology services accessible and high-performing. We work closely with technologists, radiologists, and hospital leadership to ensure that patients receive timely imaging and providers have the diagnostic tools they need when they need them. Qualifications
Education and Experience Required

- Completion of Health Care Administrative Specialist or similar program or comparable experience in a health care facility
- High School Diploma or equivalent
