We want everyone who works at CVS Health to feel empowered by the role they play in transforming our culture and accelerating our ability to innovate and deliver solutions to make health care more personal, convenient and affordable. *Position Summary* The Manager, Portfolio Optimization will play a critical role in managing the Retail Operations Portfolio, owning the governance and guiding the strategic planning of $250M+ of capital and operating budgets to support day-to-day operations, as well as transformation across the retail portfolio for CVS Health. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence across multiple areas, see many facets of the Operations landscape, and connect with a diverse group of business owners at all levels. In this role, you will be a vital contributor in monitoring capital and operating expense allocation across projects in multiple areas, supporting annual planning exercises, and ensuring appropriate financial tracking. You will build reporting and create effective presentations for senior leadership within the Retail Ops space up to the SVP level.   This position is central to aligning wide-ranging stakeholders across the organization. Therefore, experience in building effective relationships and influencing skills are essential. You will demonstrate this by working across the enterprise with IT, Finance, Enterprise Analytics, and business innovation teams to integrate multiple outputs into a unified narrative. The colleague in this role must have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, superior attention to detail, and the ability to learn independently and execute with a high degree of autonomy. Responsibilities (Estimated % of Time) Manage the strategic investments of Retail Operations including Operating Expense, IT labor hours, and other capital investments (60%): * Facilitate the strategic slotting of Retail Ops IT projects, ensuring all required materials are submitted, including vision statements, capabilities, project plans, change requests, etc. * Serve as a subject matter expert in our Agile and IT processes as they relate to the management of capital, liaising between IT and our business owners to ensure completion of our strategic initiatives on budget. * Develop and maintain accurate day-to-day tracking of all portfolios related aspects of each project, meeting with business teams as needed to understand pertinent project intricacies. * Assess risk and opportunity within the portfolio, engaging leadership as needed and providing recommendations Support annual planning, budgeting, and reforecasting strategy across the Retail Ops portfolio (creating excel templates, monitoring submissions, creating readouts, and playing the role of subject matter expert for business partners) (20%) Craft presentations and other materials about complex portfolio subject matter to a level of understanding for executive leadership, sponsors, and other business partners down to the staff level (10%) Serve as a trusted subject matter expert on behalf of the Portfolio Optimization team for key initiatives, as well as preparing for and leading various business reviews with senior leaders by coordinating and finalizing relevant materials, quarterbacking any necessary field training, ensuring follow-up and execution of strategy by Retail Store Operations leaders (10%) *Required Qualifications* * 3+ years' experience influencing without authority. * 3+ years' experience demonstrating strategic problem solving or product development. * 3+ years of experience in a corporate environment leading initiatives with a high degree of complexity * 3+ years' experience planning, designing, and executing complex strategies across a large group of stakeholders while achieving established goals and objectives. * 3+ years' experience analyzing and understanding multiple sources of disparate information, drawing appropriate conclusions and making recommendations for risk mitigation and actionable next steps. * 3+ years' experience leading cross-functional teams and initiatives with a high degree of complexity * 3+ years' experience creating, leading, planning and executing complex strategies. * 3+ years' advanced skills in MS Office, with strong ability to leverage advanced Excel analytical and manipulation functions. * Self-starter with ability to learn independently and operate autonomously with a high degree of accountability in a complex environment. * Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information verbally and in writing to diverse audiences with varying levels of understanding of the portfolio space. * Excellent problem solving and critical thinking abilities to identify challenges, analyze root causes, and develop effective solutions that drive business success. * Strong time management skills, evidenced by experience being accountable to multiple deliverables on staggered deadlines. * Leverages a continual improvement mindset to create simplicity and improve customer experience. * Proven ability to deliver high quality professional communications, presentations, responses, and analyses on a wide range of requests by working quickly, independently and with minimal direction. * Proven ability to exhibit model professional behaviors that are consistent with collaborating with senior leadership and that demonstrate a strong bias for inclusion, collaboration, building trust, driving for and delivering results as well as supporting innovation and change. * Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills * Broad mindset with an ability to consider the long-term execution of strategy as well as the short-term detail-oriented steps needed in developing solutions. * Proven ability to lead through ambiguity. * Proven track record of high performance in roles requiring high attention to detail. * Regular and reliable attendance * Travel- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time, based on needs of the business * Any additional tasks as
