The Highlights: The FA Administrator, as part of the OFA Operations team, is responsible for reviewing and processing, award program reports, student applicant eligibility, verification, and student follow-up. This position is responsible for executing support processes for application processing, award claims and payment processing, authorization review and reconciliation of major federal and state program.  This position reports to the Associate Director of Financial Aid - Operations.   

What You'll Do:

  • Responsible for effectively processing reports, comparing changes in application data, award program information, and supporting other processes associated with the duties of the Verification team, Loan team, and Operations. 
  • Work closely with Operations teams to review and resolve student eligibility issues. Communicate with student and possible outside parties to resolve student eligibility issues and verification. 
  • Conduct student follow-up and assist with responding to student emails in FA Operations. Research, resolve and effectively communicate responses to students. 
  • Award students who are not able to be packaged by the batch packaging system. 
  • Participation in the administration of federal, state, institutional and private aid, with aggregate dollars of programs involved exceeding 150 million dollars. 
What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree required. 
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in student aid administration preferred.
  • Familiarity with verification processes, federal student loan processes, and other student aid programs preferred.    
  • Capacity to embrace change and willingness to be flexible in work hours.
  • Capacity to work independently, effectively, and under pressure during peak processing.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Preference to the following:
    NASFAA Credentials 
    FSA Learning Track Certificates 
    FSA Basic and Fundamental Training Certificates 
  • May not be currently delinquent or in default on a federal loan, or owe a overpayment of federal grant funds.
  • Extended hours and/or weekend work required, depending on time of year, volume and demand.
