Work schedule during Summer:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 9-5pm
  Work schedule during Fall: Thursday 8-4pm, Friday 8-6pm, Saturday 10-6pm   The Highlights: Part-time circulation desk assistant provides circulation services to students, faculty and other Law Library users. S/he helps supervise evening and weekend services and student staff per an assigned schedule. S/he provides supplemental support in workflow of areas of circulation services as needed. 
 

What You'll Do:

  • Provide circulation desk service to students, faculty and other Law Library users. 
  • Supervise day and weekend services and student staff as assigned. 
  • Create and maintain the Law Library's physical bulletin board display. 
  • Process call-slips and prepare materials for shuttle or ILDS shipping;  process incoming shuttle and ILDS materials for ILL Hold and pick-up from Law ILL hold shelf; take I-share and shuttle daily statistics and provide to ILL manager. 
  • Maintain the Law Library stacks and specialty collections through shelving, shifting and shelf reading.
     
What You'll Need:
  • College degree or equivalent course credit.
  • One to two years substantive experience providing service in an academic library preferred.
  • Strong service orientation; good communication and collaborative skills; proficiency with the circulation module of an integrated system such as Voyager Circulation, I-Share catalog and Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to use a keyboard, mouse and computer to perform routine tasks and searches within an electronic catalog.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs. Ability to access and negotiate all areas of the law school (including the law library) quickly.
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed.
     
The anticipated hiring range for this position is: $20.93 to $21.00 per hour.  The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
