**Position Summary:**
Responsible for assessing physiological, emotional, and spiritual needs of each patient within assigned unit area and planning nursing care to meet those needs.
Monitors and evaluates cardiac rhythm pre and post procedure as indicated. Prepares patients and explains procedures to them monitors patients status before, during and after procedures.
**Essential Functions and Responsibilities:**
1. Adheres to standards of nursing practice of McLaren Flint, which consists of systematic approach to nursing practice by using nursing process.
2. Assesses and documents patient's status on admission and continuously thereafter.
3. Demonstrates successful judgment and the ability to understand, react effectively and treat (if appropriate) the unique needs of various patient age groups served.
-Required:-
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Michiganlicensure as a Registered Nurse.
Minimum of two years of experience required in a cardiac critical care unit (2C, CCU, ICU), step down units (4C, 9T, 12T), Emergency Department, PACU, Cardiac Cath Lab, EP Lab or Neuro Interventional Procedures Lab.
ACLS certification.

Previous experience as a Registered Nurse in a Cath Lab.
CCRN certification.
