**Position Summary:**

The Cardiac Device Specialist is an RN with expertise to manage patients enrolled in the cardiac device clinic. This position will provide checks for pacemakers, ICD's and other remote monitoring devices in person as well as over the phone.

Care is provided in a compassionate, professional, ethical, and knowledgeable fashion based on the Caring Model, exemplifies the mission, vision and values of Rush Copley, and is in accordance with policies and procedures. The registered nurse is expected to uphold the most ethical and safe processes while keeping the care of the patient as a top priority. The position works closely with the entire multidisciplinary team and must have a complete understanding of own limitations and, in turn, seek advice, judgment and support of others, when necessary.

**Position Description/Requirements:**

Experience with interrogation and reprogramming is preferred as well as experience with various device vendors.

Minimum of 2 years of cardiovascular experience required.

Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse license required.

Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. BSN must be achieved within 5 years of hire.

American Heart Association CPR and ACLS Required

Excellent oral/written communication skills

Excellent organizational skills

Ability to set priorities, document conversations and specific actions taken and develop applicable policies and procedures

Medical practice management and EMR software experience preferred (specifically Epic).

Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word and Excel) helpful.
