**Position Description:** **RN**
**BayCare Health System** is currently seeking a **Registered Nurse** to join our outstanding and compassionate **Cardiac Surgical** team at **St. Joseph's Hospital** . As part of the community since 1934, St. Joseph's Hospital has been a partner for continued health and wellness.
This Cardiac Surgical step-down unit is responsible for taking care of post-surgical open-heart patients once they are stable from their CVICU stay.
**The RN responsibilities include:**
Caring for a group of patients with minimum supervision applying the nursing process and clinical standards.
Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.

BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required
RN (Registered Nurse) license is required
ACLS Certification, if required by department
Nurse Specialty certification is preferred **Education:**
Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required
Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred **Experience:**
6 months of RN experience in acute care or 3 months RN experience in acute care with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment is required. **Specific Skills:**
