**Job Title: Medication Tech**
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a meticulous and compassionate Medication Tech to join our team at The Forum at Lincoln Heights. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering medications to patients, ensuring accurate dosages are given, and maintaining detailed records. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing the highest standard of care.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Administer prescribed medications to patients under the direction of nursing staff.
- Verify patient information and ensure the correct medication and dosage is given.
- Record medication administration and monitor patients for side effects.
- Maintain a clean and organized medication cart and storage area.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
- Assist with patient care activities as needed to support nursing staff.
- Comply with all healthcare regulations and protocols regarding medication administration.
**Qualifications:**
- Certification as a Medication Tech or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
