Job Title: Memory Care Shine Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Memory Care Shine Coordinator to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional care and support to our residents with memory impairments. As the Shine Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals living with dementia and other cognitive challenges through engaging activities, tailored care plans, and family support initiatives. Your expertise will help create a vibrant, safe, and supportive environment that promotes dignity and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. **Individualized Care Planning:**
- Develop and implement personalized care plans for each resident, incorporating their unique interests, preferences, and cognitive abilities.
- Regularly assess and update care plans based on resident progress and changing needs.

2. **Activity Coordination:**
- Organize and lead daily activities that stimulate cognitive function, promote social interaction, and enhance the quality of life for residents.
- Incorporate innovative programs that are designed specifically for individuals with memory care needs, including music therapy, art sessions, and physical activities.

3. **Family Engagement:**
- Communicate regularly with family members to provide updates on their loved ones' well-being and involvement in activities.
- Organize family support and education sessions to help families better understand their loved one's condition and how to provide support.

4. **Staff Training and Support:**
- Train and mentor staff on best practices for memory care, including effective communication techniques and strategies for managing challenging behaviors.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment focused on delivering high-quality care.

5. **Evaluation and Reporting:**
- Monitor residents' participation in activities and evaluate their responses, adapting programs as necessary to ensure maximum engagement.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, activities, and family interactions, complying with regulatory requirements.

6. **Community Collaboration:**
- Build and maintain partnerships with local organizations and resources that specialize in memory care, promoting community engagement and resources for families.
- Attend workshops and training sessions to stay updated on the latest research and best practices in memory care.

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's degree in Gerontology, Social Work, Nursing, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in memory care, activities coordination, or a related healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's disease, along with associated care strategies and interventions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to relate compassionately to residents and their families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Certification in Dementia Care or similar credentials is a plus.
