Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen operations and be able to assist the Executive Chef in maintaining high culinary standards, developing menu items, and ensuring the team delivers exceptional dining experiences. This role requires creativity, leadership skills, and a commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop seasonal menus and innovative dishes.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to the restaurant's standards of quality, freshness, and presentation.
- Oversee kitchen staff, providing training, mentorship, and support in their culinary development.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all sanitation and safety guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed, and minimizing waste.
- Assist in maintaining cost control by managing food costs and portioning effectively.
- Handle any customer inquiries or complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Facilitate communication within the kitchen team and coordinate tasks during peak hours.
- Stay updated with industry trends and implement best practices in the kitchen.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a high-volume establishment.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and kitchen equipment.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for food and dedication to culinary excellence.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
