General Summary:
Primary support and expert for all store locations, distribution centers and store support center regarding policy and procedures on background check and drug testing. Coordinates and manages relationships with outside vendors responsible for pre-employment background and drug testing for candidates for all store locations, field management, distribution centers and Store Support Center positions. Acts as the expert for background check and drug testing process and is responsible for researching and executing quality evaluation and resolution of needs. Partners with HR leadership and Legal to present background checks under review in order to make a pass/fail decision.
Job Details:Duties & Responsibilities:
- Works directly with vendor and vendor system to accurately track status of background check adjudication and ensure timely processing, log final resolutions, and ensure service level agreements/vendor performance metrics are being met; escalate issues as needed with vendor.
- Acts as a liaison between the legal department, HR, and the background check vendor. Evaluates applicant background checks designated as “Further Review” and ones with state specific processes by reviewing background check results, preparing all pertinent information for Leadership Panel Review to make pass/fail determination; provide relevant information related to historical panel review decisions and best practices.
- Research problems; respond to requests for information; review, develop, and maintain accurate and timely data, records, and correspondence; develop, process and maintain detailed reporting of all background check activity; recommend operating policy and procedural improvements in relation to background checks. Maintains updated documentation of all processes.
- Oversee and coordinate the management and relationship with background and drug testing vendors who service our store locations, distribution centers and Store Support Center employees; routinely provide updated new and existing store and distribution center locations information, field addresses and phone numbers, etc. to ensure proper IVR access and results reporting. Ensure correct set-up by vendors for new distributions systems, including testing prior to hiring.
- Provide monthly accruals estimates; coordinate approval and upload of monthly invoices from vendors; resolve billing issues with Accounts Payable.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
- Proficiency with Microsoft office.
- Knowledge of retail store operation.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Strong oral and written communication skill.
Work Experience &/or Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent. College preferred.
- Customer Service experience.
- Analytical experience preferred.
