General Summary:

This role manages projects and initiatives in support of strategic and operational response to employment process regulatory requirements. The individual in this role must become a subject matter expert (SME) for privacy, health and wellness practices to have an optimal understanding of how to best leverage company resources to respond to such matters. Provides leadership of the implementation, communication and maintenance to mitigate loss and protect the company as it relates to human resources, timekeeping and employee information gathering systems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Offer thought leadership and subject matter expertise with HR functions, stakeholders, vendors and cross-functional teams to establish practices and procedures for administering policy and regulatory requirements associated with the employment process.
  • Project Manager in partner with Legal, HR business partners, operations and payroll/financial functions to implement practices to be in compliance with national, state and local employment laws.
  • Assist in collaboration with IT partners to design technology solutions required to administer program expectations at the appropriate scale of business need.
  • Train and manage staff and program administrators on practices and systems developed to oversee regulatory compliance. Keep staff up to date on continuous regulatory changes.


Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Experience with a full range of HR related processes and applications (e.g., recruiting, benefits, payroll, learning management, performance and compensation management)
  • Thorough knowledge of employment policy and data privacy practices
  • Prior experience with HR program implementation and management of policy interpretation
  • Experience with leading the development, testing, and implementation of operational standards and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships with all levels within the organization
  • Strong process improvement capabilities which include the ability to lead, facilitate, influence, and organize
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented and ability to provide quality results within required deadlines
  • Exceptional consulting skills with the proven ability to understand and apply industry trends
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to diagnose and solve problems
  • Strong communication and presentation skills including the ability to effectively translate technical jargon/concepts into everyday language
  • Adapt and respond to frequent changes to regulations and to demands on time and resources
  • Prioritize and establish best practices to react to changes in procedures

Work Experience &/or Education:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years HR-related experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred
