This position has responsibility for supervising and overseeing the functions of the inventory reconciliation team. Will be responsible for quality oversight and process improvement. Supports team with variance research and decision making issues, provides ongoing team training, reconciles, and audits inventories in a paperless environment. Acts as back up to department manager. Partners with the field and internal departments to research and resolve conflicting information to ensure posted results are accurate. Identifies inventory count errors through ad hoc analysis and works on continuous process improvement

Job Details:
  • Supervises the quality of the team's deliverables by completing regular monthly or quarterly audits. 
  • Drives the continuous improvement of reconciliation accuracy by mentoring the development of the Reconciliation department. 
  • Collaborates and proactively engages with the field and internal departments (includingTransportation and Inventory Support) as part of in-depth research to ensure highest degree ofaccuracy in posted financial shrink result. 
  • Produces financial reports, conducts ad hoc and trend analysis, and executes financial entries based on analysis/research. 
  •  Works on department-sponsored projects and/or process improvements.
  •  Ability to analyze department procedures in order to recommend improvements
  • Ability to manage multiple decision processes while working in a fast-paced paperless environment using multiple systems and databases

  • Strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency around deadlines
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • At least an Intermediate level in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to utilize database application
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or other related field and one year experience in retail chain environment required.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience may be substituted.
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
