Job Details:

General Summary:

Under general direction, responsible for development and purchasing of Supplies to all existing stores and to New/Relo/Remodel projects. Responsible for gathering and tracking various information to ensure supply in-stock levels for consolidation facilities and DC network, validate billing accuracy and forecasts (both monthly and annually). Use internal system to generate report count of upcoming new stores, remodels, and relocating stores on a weekly basis.  Supports procurement managers in developing a priority list of targeted procurement projects to drive increased spend savings through the procurement pipeline in not-for-resale categories.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

1. Manage various reports on inventories, budgets and progress while providing monthly forecast to Sr. Procurement Manager.

  • Proper forecasting and Issuing purchase orders on the needs of the existing business and pipeline projects.
  • Working with vendors to resolve issues with existing orders due to lead time and supply chain issues.
  • Audit and process invoices as they are received each month and then report this information to management so that it can be accounted for and/or accrued as necessary.Continuous process improvement to find ways to better streamline the process to create efficiencies. 40%

2.Monitor in-stock levels weekly in all consolidation facilities and DCs to ensure acceptable levels of inventories. 10%
3.Use the inventory tracker to manage the ordering of supplies to all new, remodel, relocation and existing stores and communicate any instances that may jeopardize published budget totals to the Sr. Procurement manager. 15%

4.Compile and format, per instructions, supply specifications for RFP purposes. 5%
5.Coordinate supply with Ops and track shipments from suppliers to all DCs to ensure delivery and unloading. 15%
6.Support supply needs for chain rollouts and special projects as needed. 15%

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to be customer service driven and a team player
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and consultant-type skills in managing various internal stakeholders, cultural dynamics and effectively interfacing with multiple levels within the organization
  • Proficient understanding of internet technology
  • Strong/advanced Microsoft spreadsheet and database skills
  • Power BI skills
  • Ability to be highly adaptable to change and to deal with ambiguity
  • Ability to think “outside the box” and be an entrepreneurial self-starter
  • Ability to multi-task, gather data from multiple sources, prioritize, and manage/manipulate data
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, stay organized, and deliver quality deliverables
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Ability to think analytically/spatially and make assumptions and recommendations based on limited information

Work Experience &/or Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, statistics, supply chain and three to five years' experience, or equivalent work experience may be substituted.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, specifically in managing multiple projects.
