That's Nice, But What's the Job?

In short, the Senior Director of Marketing Analytics will lead strategic planning, insights, performance analysis, and execution in collaboration with the leadership team. This role oversees customer journey analytics, dealership performance, market share strategies, and resource optimization—across both centralized and decentralized functions. In partnerships with Operations, IT, Product, Risk, Data Science, and Strategic Partnerships, the role ensures aligned, data-driven decisions that fuel growth and profitability for the Retail Organization. You'll join a team with deep expertise in TV and Search advertising, with a mandate to innovate in those areas and explore new advertising channels to expand DriveTime's market share.

In Long, the Senior Director of Marketing Analytics is responsible for:

  • Manage an advertising budget with a strong focus on maximizing return on ad spend (ROAS)
  • Direct strategy and execution for OTT and programmatic advertising initiatives
  • Develop and maintain a custom paid search platform to optimize campaign performance
  • Lead marketing partnerships with major listing platforms and financial service partners
  • Identify and launch growth opportunities across emerging channels, including out-of-home (OOH), social media, and display advertising
  • Oversee brand messaging and creative strategy to ensure consistency and market resonance
  • Design and optimize omni-channel customer experience, integrating digital touchpoints with in-store engagement
  • Spearhead measurement, analytics, A/B testing, and reporting to inform data-driven decision-making
  • Lead & Develop a team of talented strategic analysts – Developing future leaders

The Specifics

  • 7+ years' experience in analytics, finance, business consulting or other related field; Bachelors degree required
  • +3 years' experience in leadership or people management roles
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen; ability to translate data into insight and excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior experience managing and developing analysts
  • Experience with economic/financial analysis
  • Experience with SQL or snowflake as well as with Microsoft Excel

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with digital analytics or marketing analytics for a leading brand or large organization
  • Experience with A/B testing and other testing methodologies
  • Experience designing & utilizing attribution for decision making
  • Experience with TV strategy and TV data analytics
